Soils / Composts
Soil serves as a growing media and a habitat for soil organisms as well as an engineering medium for a variety of landscaping and construction projects. In addition to our soils we also supply a number of soil amendments to make your existing soil more suitable for use as a growing media.
Topsoil Types
Topsoil is the uppermost layer of soil in which plants typically grow. The final grade of a site is typically set using a topsoil to allow for vegetation growth. Different types of topsoil are available depending on organic matter required and equipment available on site.
Soil Amendment
Soil amendments are added to existing topsoil to increase the organic matter and humus content of soil. This acts as a natural fertilizer that promotes healthy soil ecology.
Fill Dirt
Fill dirt is typically unsuited for plant growth and is only suited for making significant changes in grade. Fill dirt is largely subsoil and is quite dense which helps to reduce settling.
