Natural Mulch

Natural mulches do not have any additives and are a great fit in applications where frequent contact is anticipated such as playgrounds, walking paths or properties with children or pets.

Natural mulches, while not as consistent and stable in color as dyed mulches, are a cost-effective natural solution to moisture retention, weed control and erosion prevention.

Premium Bark

Premium bark is our best quality mulch. Comprised of 100% bark, our premium has a fine, stringy, shredded looking texture. The natural dark brown color will not fade as quickly as a wood mulch. This is the best mulch for mulching around trees, shrubs, and other landscape plants because as it breaks down, it adds valuable nutrients to the soil.

Bark Blend

Bark Blend is a compromise product between our Premium Bark and Nature’s Blend mulches. As such, it is made of a 50/50 blend of virgin bark and hardwood (no recycled materials). Bark Blend is of exceptional quality and would rival the "premium" mulches of many companies. Double-shredded and aged to a dark brown color, this product has the best of both worlds in terms of nutrient benefit (bark decomposition into existing soil) and longevity (wood pieces will not break down as fast). 

Nature’s Blend

Nature’s blend is an economical wood-based mulch containing both virgin and recycled wood. Nature’s blend is double ground and aged to a dark brown color, but due to the high wood content, will fade to a grey color quicker than a bark mulch.  This product will have greater longevity since wood does not decompose very quickly.

Our Safe Cover Playground Mulch is a certified, double ground, wood playground mulch that undergoes additional screening for both fines and metal, as well as rigorous quality controls on raw materials. Safe Cover is certified by TÜV SÜD America through the International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) to meet ASTM F1292 (Section 4.2) and ASTM F2075 standards.

Clean Woodchips

Clean Woodchips are a consistent 1-2" wood chip that is not aged. They are initially a very light tan color but will turn to a grey color with weathering.  Unlike our Regular Wood Chips, this product is absent of sticks, twigs, and leaf debris.

Regular Woodchips

Regular Woodchips are the product of tree chipping machines, and they are a very economical choice for large or hidden areas where color and texture consistency are less important. Woodchips are a light tan color but can be mixed with some chopped leaves and bark which causes them to appear darker. Wood chips may also contain unground twigs and sticks, but we do run them through a screener which removes most of the larger pieces and twigs. Wood chips will weather to a grey color.
